Why choose Nightingales?

An employee-owned service you can trust

As a founder-employee-owned company, every member of our team is personally invested in delivering exceptional care. Every employee acts like an owner, you’ll feel the difference in their dedication and attention to detail.

40 years of expertise you can rely on

With four decades of experience, including running two local private care homes, we understand what great care looks like and how to provide it with empathy, consistency, and professionalism.

Call us for friendly guidance

Choosing care is never easy, but we’re here to help. Call us for empathetic and informed advice – whether you’re just exploring your options, or ready to plan the next steps – we can help.

Private clients only – no compromises

Unlike providers bound by external contracts, we focus exclusively on individual private clients. This ensures that your needs always come first, without external priorities taking precedence. By avoiding block bookings from local authorities, we can dedicate our time and attention entirely to you, delivering care that’s as personal and flexible as it should be.

A tailored approach to living well

Our live-in carers provide compassionate, round-the-clock support with daily tasks that may have become more challenging – such as bathing, dressing, preparing meals, and mobility.

But care goes beyond the practical. We’re here to help your loved one live a life filled with dignity, comfort, and moments of joy, whether it’s enjoying a favourite book, taking a walk in the garden, a shopping or theatre trip, or sharing family meals at home.

Who are our live-in carers?

You can be sure that if you work with us, a fully trained carer will be assigned to you. To keep their skills current with industry best practices, they receive ongoing refresher training in addition to in-house expert introduction training.
Your carer is expected to deliver excellent care. They have undergone a thorough investigation, been interviewed, and received an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). They’ll always be on time, smile warmly when they meet you, and be polite and accommodating. We only employ individuals who we would trust to look after our own family.

Live-in care funding options

Live-in care in Oxfordshire is more affordable than many people realise with careful planning.

Personal Health Budgets (PHBs) in the NHS

The NHS Continuing Healthcare programme is open to those with ongoing medical issues.

It pays for all of your medical expenses. As a result, you should double-check your eligibility.

Direct Payments from your Council

Many people use local government funding to cover the cost of their live-in care. Your eligibility is based on the conditions you meet and your financial situation. You can regain control of your finances with Direct Payments.

Savings and assets

The majority of families use their savings if they are not qualified for government assistance. You might also use the equity in your house to subsidise your care.

For more information on funding, contact Nightingales Live-In Care on 0800 612 9132. You are welcome to take advantage of our experience whether or not you choose us, and we think you’ll find working with us to be surprisingly simple.
