At Nightingales, we uphold the highest standards for our carers. We implement comprehensive measures, such as background checks and in-person evaluations, to ensure their reliability. However, the most critical question we ask is, “Would I trust this individual to care for my own mother?”

When you opt for our services, you can have full confidence that your caregiver will be qualified, experienced, and reliable. Our live-in carers possess extensive expertise in the field and continuously undergo updated training on best practices.

Every carer has undergone meticulous vetting and interviews, and they have all successfully cleared an enhanced DBS check. You can rely on them to be punctual, friendly, and supportive. Our selection process is carefully designed to hire only individuals we would entrust with the care of our own families.

We firmly believe that you will be satisfied with the quality of care provided by our carers. Our commitment is to hire only the finest, ensuring you have the peace of mind you rightfully deserve.

If you're interested in learning more about funding for home care, please call Nightingales on 0800 612 9132. We're happy to provide free advice, whether you choose us or not. We're confident that you'll find us to be a refreshingly easy company to deal with.

How does home care work?

  1. Secure your complimentary consultation now. Our care assessments are provided completely free of charge, whether you opt for our services or not. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to speak with a skilled member of our team who can explore your options and assist you in determining if home care suits your needs.
  2. After your telephone consultation, we’ll request you to complete an application form and care assessment, either through our online platform or by post. This comprehensive assessment will encompass all aspects of your loved one’s requirements, including medication, health needs, dietary preferences, and interests. Based on this information, we will develop a personalised care and support plan tailored to your loved one’s specific needs.
  3. Enter the agreement and matching stage. Our dedicated team will collaborate with you and your loved one to find a suitable and compatible carer based on their unique needs, preferences, and requirements. Prior to this stage, we will ask you to complete an agreement, which can be done conveniently online or via post.
  4. Once we identify a fitting carer, we will provide you with their profile. This gives you and your family ample time to review the carer’s qualifications, experience, and availability before making a decision.
  5. Choose a suitable start date for the carer to commence their duties. To ensure a smooth settling-in period, one of our live-in care managers will accompany the carer into your loved one’s home, offering support and assistance as needed.
